Seamless Summer (SSO) Cafeteria program

As we begin a new school year, our students’ well-being and success remain the top priority at Shamrock ISD. Our commitment includes ensuring your child can access nutritious food at school and other points in our community. Starting November 9th, 2020, Shamrock ISD is operating the Seamless Summer (SSO) Option. This federal nutrition program allows us to serve nutritious meals in our community to children 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old at no cost to your family. All Shamrock ISD students can receive daily meals whether they are learning in-person or remotely.

•Meals are available for in-person students and for remote students

•Meals will be served in the cafeteria and curbside pickup

•Meals will be served Monday - Fridays during regular school days, during normal campus breakfast & lunch periods

•All children 18 and under are eligible

•Parent/Guardians must pick up meals

•Shamrock PK - 12th students: parent/guardians must provide their students' name and letter of verification of enrollment from their campus principal when picking up meals. If documentation is not provided, the child must be present to receive a meal.

•If the child is not enrolled at Shamrock ISD, and if the child is not present during meal pickup, parents/guardians will need a birth certificate for each child.

•For more information, contact Kenneth Shields, 806-256-3601 x223 or visit our website or social media platforms.

In addition to school meals, you and your family may be able to access food through community organizations operating programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). These programs can provide additional support during the COVID-19 public health emergency. For information on school meal programs and other food assistance programs available in Texas, please see the attached Food Programs for Healthy Families information sheet.
